3 reasons why you should join a student org in college
1. You make FRIENDS.
You literally have the opportunity to meet other students with similar interests as you. All you have to do is show up! Literally. The student org is probably run by kids on campus who know who's who and what's really up. So joining a student org really doesn't come with that many losses.
2. You always have something to do.
You really do. Student organizations always have events. That's their bread and water (am i saying that right? lol). These events are either socials, professional, or community service related. Giving back, making friends, and preparing for your future? What more do you want? LOL. I once went to an event completely Harry Potter themed and I will never forget how competitive everyone got when a Slytherin tie was up for grabs. #stress #TBT #FreeFood
3. You experience something meaningful.
Whether you're planting a garden or volunteering as check-in at the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Festival, you're doing something! And most importantly you're getting connected. When you get connected, you get the opportunity to learn something new about yourself and others. These experiences are invaluable and shouldn't be overlooked.
These memories made outside the classroom are going to be the moments you remember most!
5 bucks & a Saxbys Coffee, you'll become that alumnae who they'll be emailing in 5 years asking for a donation for their leadership retreat in the Poconos!
